STR and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization to Present One Day Human Factors Symposium on September 22, 2005

Bethesda, MD -- Specialized Technology Resources (STR) and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) will present a one day Human Factors Symposium on September 22, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Bethesda, MD. This is a rare opportunity for companies to hear directly from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (USCPSC) staff concerning the many human factors elements that are evaluated in conducting a product safety assessment.

Nancy Nord, the USCPSC’s Commissioner, will be the keynote luncheon speaker and participants will have the opportunity to meet with key USCPSC staff during the event.
The symposium will include presentations from a panel of experts from STR and ICPHSO on:

The workshop is designed for any company or organization involved with consumer products. This includes manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers, testing laboratories, trade associations, insurance companies, consultants, attorneys, state and local government regulators, and others.

Participants can register for the symposium on either the ICPHSO (www.icphso.org) or STR (www.strlab.com) websites. The cost for the program is $200 for ICPHSO members and $250 for non-members.
