Candle Testing

STR also has a dedicated 500 square foot candle testing laboratory at its Enfield, CT headquarters with the capability of evaluating over 500 candles simultaneously. Candles and candle-related products are tested to ensure conformance with national standards in the areas of burning behavior, wax spillage, rapid melt down, thermal shock resistance of containers, labeling, lead content of wick cores, burn times, soot generation, wax pool temperatures and formation of secondary wicks among many others.
